About Us

About Freon Collective

Freon Collective is a low-waste lifestyle brand based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, created to make sustainable living feel simple, beautiful, and attainable. Founded in 2019, our brand began with a small idea in a home studio: to replace everyday disposable items with thoughtfully made, reusable alternatives that are designed to last.

What started with a few handmade cotton rounds has grown into a full collection of personal care, home, and lifestyle goods — all designed with intention, care, and a deep respect for the environment.

Every product is handmade in small batches in our Toronto studio, ensuring quality, reducing waste, and allowing us to stay closely connected to every step of the making process.

Our Story

Freon Collective was founded by Nancy Mac, a designer with a background in fashion and surface design who has always been drawn to craftsmanship, textiles, and sustainable design practices.

After working in the fashion and creative industries, Nancy set out to build a brand that aligned more closely with her values — one that prioritized slower production, lower environmental impact, and meaningful design.

What began as a small creative experiment has grown into a brand that ships across Canada, is carried by independent retailers, and has been featured in national publications. Throughout our growth, our core mission has stayed the same: create beautiful, functional products that help reduce everyday waste.

Community & Values

Freon Collective is proud to be a women-owned, small-batch business rooted in community support and social responsibility.

We believe businesses should contribute positively beyond their products. Over the years, we’ve supported organizations such as women’s shelters, arts initiatives, and community-based programs that align with our values of equity, creativity, and care.

We are especially committed to uplifting women, supporting local initiatives, and contributing to causes that create meaningful change in our communities.
